Tomorrow, Steve and I embark on a 20+ hour flight to Bangkok, Thailand! To say I’m excited would be an understatement. I’ll be gone for a total of 2 weeks and I will NOT be taking my laptop. I’m going to be removed from the Internet and my business, which is much needed!
I plan to immerse myself in the culture and experience everything in the present moment. We will be traveling to a few different countries while we are in the region, and I’m looking forward to the complete change of pace.
This trip is technically our Honeymoon, but we are also celebrating our recent debt freedom! We truly have so much to reflect on and be grateful for. The past year and a half has been a whirlwind of events. We moved 700 miles to Asheville NC, I left my job to freelance full time, got married, and became debt free (again). PRETTY RAD.
I’ve traveled out of the United States to Europe a few times, but have never been anywhere that is not considered “Westernized.” I’m feeling ready to see a way of life that is new and different to my eyes.
I’ve always had the travel bug- constantly looking for new places to go in the United States and around the World. I’m making it a priority in 2018 to travel at any opportunity I get. Travel is refreshing and inspiring in many ways. It removes you from your normal environment while enabling you to see the world and your life from a totally different perspective.
I’ll be taking a little break from my blog while I’m out of the country but I’ll be back at it again on Friday, February 2. You can expect to see a post up about my financial strategy. I’m going to show you how I manage my money for the short and long term, what type of accounts I use, and how I budget with a freelancer’s income. So stay tuned!
If you’re interested in my travels, make sure to follow me on Instagram. I’ll be sure to post photos along my journey abroad.
What cool places have you traveled to? Where should I go next? Comment below =)
