It’s Thanksgiving tomorrow!! What’s not to love about eating good food, being around the people you love, and reflecting on all the things you are grateful for? I absolutely love it. I just wish that Christmas would back off and that Black Friday would be canceled. That’s just my opinion man.
I’ve been focused lately on showing my gratitude to myself and to others, and Thanksgiving seems like the appropriate time to dive into it even further.
There’s something to be said about taking a moment out of your day to think about all the things that you love about your life. Even if you’ve been dealing with negativity, sadness, or frustration, taking this time to express gratitude can dramatically shift your perspective and change the day ahead.
I’ve had tough days, we all have those times when you think everything will not get better.. BUT, every day that I wake up healthy and surrounded by people (AND PUPPIES) that I love is a great day. I have a safe and warm place to sleep at night, food, clean water, and ample luxuries. I think many people take these things for granted and don’t think about what life might be like without it. Simply taking a moment out my day to reflect on the basic necessity’s I have has shown to be powerful.
Life is so good.
Everyone faces fears and challenges day to day, but only those who choose to look on the bright side will emerge stronger. You’ll even be more equipped to take on more!
So, with Thanksgiving one day away, it’s given me a reminder about how far I’ve come and the potential opportunities that await. The last 7 months that I’ve been freelancing have opened my eyes to the possibilities. I’m grateful to be able to share my experience and inspire others to pursue their dreams and turn them into reality.
