Here I am sitting in my PJ’s ready to take failure head on.  While the fear of failing is something that seems to linger over me when I feel like things are not going according to plan, I’m trying to better embrace my mistakes.  I’ve learned that nothing can take the place of persistence.  It doesn’t matter how smart you are, how talented you are, or how educated you are. As long as you consistently work at your goal,  you will surpass everyone else who is doing nothing. You will fail over and over again, but your goal will get closer every time.

When I first started my side-hustle, I messed up A LOT. Some of the first web design projects I worked on involved a lot of trial and error and didn’t’ always turn out as I would have liked. I still make mistakes, but as I’ve grown this business, mistakes have become less and less. It’s up to you to embrace your mistakes and learn from them. The thing is, the more you fail, the closer you are to success.

Mistakes are not bad, they are a good sign that you’re actually doing SOMETHING. You’ve got that going for you, unlike most people.

Failure is our teacher. It is not the end of the road, it’s only a detour in our journey to greatness. Use your mistakes as stepping stones- build upon them and move forward.

With anything that you do or risk that you take, there will be successes and there will be failures, that’s the way it goes. If you go about your life never taking chances so you can avoid failure, you will also be avoiding success.

I’ve made up my mind a long time ago that no matter what happens, I’m never going to give up. I’ll always try to build something that I can call my own and run it the way I want. Even if all my clients decide to never work with me again, I won’t be stopped.  So far all this work has been paying off and I’m so thankful to my past self for being persistent. It’s really hard to consider the alternative.

Go after what you want in life and never stop trying. Keep practicing and improving every day and don’t let failure hold you back.

“The only sure way to fail is to give up completely.”
